In my studio, you’ll often find a crochet hook in my hand and a glowing screen on my desk. To some, these two worlds—the ancient art of fiber and the cutting-edge frontier of Artificial Intelligence—might seem like opposites. But to me, they are two different threads in the same tapestry.
The Slow Magic of the Stitch
There is a meditative quality to handmade work . When I pick up a crochet hook or wrap a piece of Rose Quartz in gold wire, time slows down. Every loop and every twist is a deliberate choice. This is where my slogan, “Where creativity becomes something you can hold,” truly lives. You can feel the weight of the crystal; you can feel the softness of the yarn. It is tactile, grounded, and human.
The Electric Spark of the Synth
Then, there is the Digital Horizon . Using AI tools like Suno for music or generative models for my bird art sets isn’t about “replacing” the artist—it’s about expanding the artist’s reach.
If my crochet is a slow walk through a garden, my AI work is a flight across a dreamscape. It allows me to capture the iridescent shimmer of a bird’s wing or a specific melodic swell in seconds. It provides a “Synth” to my “Stitch,” offering beauty that you can’t necessarily hold in your hand, but you can certainly feel in your heart and hear in your ears.
Finding the Balance
Why do I do both? Because life is both physical and digital .
We live in a world where we cherish a handmade blanket on our lap while we listen to digital music on our phones. My mission at Monique Jordan Creative Studio is to curate a space where these two worlds live in harmony. Whether it’s a physical talisman for your bedside table or a digital bird for your desktop, it all comes from the same place: a desire to create wonder.
